A slight title change! While online looking up domain names for squatch I found another northwest independent film in preproduction titled "Squatch" at www.SquatchMovie.com. It appears to be your typical slasher with coeds in the woods type of thing. So I decided since this movie was so close to home geographically and most likely to clash with me at film festivals I should change my title. This title is one I was wrestling with anyway. Since my movie is a kind of SciFi/Comedy and focuses on the philosophical and psychological impact bigfoot has on my main character this title suits it. Also, this title is similar to another movie title that is a comedy where the main character goes through philosophical and psychological trials, "Scrooged".

Pre-Production on Squatch is well on it's way. I have made first contact with many new allies and excitement seems to building amonst those who have pledged to take part in the film. I really think that this is going to be a very fun and interesting summer project. I am still looking for an actor to play the entomologist lead, as soon as I find someone I want to shoot the opening scene right away. I will be using that scene as a teaser in my pitch video on Kickstarter.com. If you are not familiar with Kickstarter.com it is a website where you can pitch your project, then anyone interested can make donations to the project. If you are interested in my film and wish to see it finished I encourage you to donate. There will be links and more information on this as Production continues.
